Whether Laura is writing a psychological murder mystery, a generational family saga, or an upmarket commercial romance—expect the unexpected. Laura infuses mysticism, art, music, romance, and history/true events, with a tinge of genre-bending metaphysical.

• Uriel’s Mask, a southern, semi-historical, family saga, was inspired by a folk artist Laura discovered when working as a reporter in the North Carolina mountains. This folk artist created masks to honor the Spirits who visited her as she sat by trees.

• Between Thoughts of You, is a commercial fiction novel that is a romance within a romance. It was initially inspired by true events from a Northern California prison camp kept secret by the military until recently. (One of Laura’s older yoga students was the daughter of an SS guard held there…)

• Jupiter’s Weight, a murder mystery, was birthed from Laura’s time as a crime reporter, her own near death experience, and stress-induced amnesia. Like a Picasso painting, it has a 4th dimensionality to it, that may expand your view of the world, and yourself in it—even if just temporarily.

• Lucifer’s Laughter, is Laura’s MFA thesis approved by her former mentor, Barbara Probst Solomon. It is the story of a sister seeking clues about the circumstances behind her big sister’s disappearance when she was working on a small island in Maine—where nothing is what it appears to be.
